Nothing beats experience! That is something I have come to understand and believe in.
My highest educational qualification is a 2-year college diploma, and I graduated in 2013. I never used the certificate, not even once.
When I graduated, I started working as a sales representative, which doesn’t require any certificate, all they care about is how much sales you can bring.
I got hired as an administrative assistant in the same company without anyone asking for my educational qualification, and before I left the company, I got to the position where I interviewed and hired people who had a university degree, and they worked under me.
None of the people who worked under me at the time would believe my highest educational qualification was a college diploma.
I got to that position and thrived in it because of the experience I gathered along the way.
When I started freelancing, I messed up a lot. I ended up with several bad reviews from clients. I had to reach a point where I decided I needed to take a breath and restart.
I restarted with the experience I had, did things better, ended up with better results, and made it in the field.
I never learned anything about freelancing or virtual assistance in school. In fact, when I finished my college diploma, I didn’t even have basic knowledge of computer operation.
I have never taken an online course on freelancing or virtual assistance until I started making money from it.
And to this day, I have never used my academic qualification, not even once. Honestly, I don’t even know where my college certificate is right now 😆
Looking back at all these made me truly understand that nothing beats experience. If you have experience, you will beat someone with any qualification who doesn’t have the experience.
And how do you build experience? Through practice! There is no other way.
You cannot build experience through learning alone. You cannot build experience through planning and strategizing. You cannot gain experience by going to school or enrolling in an online course.
You build experience by putting ten thousand hours into practice.
Once you have the experience, you will not be afraid of the competition. Once you have the experience, you will automatically get rid of self-doubt and imposter syndrome.
The best thing about having experience is that no one can take it away from you, and you cannot lose it. It will go with you everywhere you want to go, and it will be your unfair advantage.
You might be struggling right now, but trust me, if you are prioritizing the right things, all your efforts will compound and transform you into the exact version of yourself that you admire right now.
Trust the process, never give up on your future, and one of these days, you will remember the days you struggled and feel proud of the fact that you never gave up, and you made yourself great!
Cheers🥂

There’s a saying: ‘Practice makes perfect.’ It’s not about being flawless from the start but about improving step by step until you can perform the task with ease.
